RPG Pimpage: Charing Cross

sparkysparkyHello dear f-listers! Today I am pimping the RPG that I play and mod in, Charing Cross, over on InsaneJournal. We're a post-DH non-epilogue compliant game, mostly canon. It's a social based game, which means no dark plot going on, but there's a lot of awkward relationshippy (romantic, platonic, familial...no enemies as of yet but we'd ADORE that dynamic) moments going on. We also throw in a monthly game wide plot to shake things up and get things moving, and are considering offering up weekly character development challenges to get people really thinking in character. We're on the small-medium side with about 20 characters or so, but we're friendly, really fun and creative and new people are ALWAYS welcome. We'd really like a new infusion of blood, and it doesn't matter if you've never RP'd before--we promise to be gentle and not bite (unless you'd like us to!)
There are a few characters we'd REALLY love to recast, and I'll say straight up that most of these characters were rarely played so a brand-new characterization isn't out of the question. In some cases specifics like residence and occupation will have to be kept, but mostly you'd be free to recreate the character in your image. Those characters that the game would really like to see replaced are:
Hermione Granger: Currently Hermione is in Paris at a Magical Creatures conference. She's speaking on the evils of international Unicorn trading. She had a short flirtation going with Stephen Cornfoot, but that storyline seems to be abandoned for the time being. There is backstory with Ron (short story: they dated until about 2001ish, Ron proposed, they broke up) though the two are back to being ebst friends. Ron & Harry have started dating and while the previous Hermione accepted the relationship we are open for awkwardness and angst. Character specifics and PB open to recreation.
Theodore Nott and Lisa Turpin: Theo and Lisa were BFFs at Hogwarts (read the backstory in each of the character profiles) and recently reconnected after years of absence. Theo owns a small bookshop in Diagon Alley and Lisa just started working at the Experimental Charms Unit (with her other BFF Terry Boot). Characterization & PBs open to changing.
Anthony Goldstein: Anthony is a lawyer at the Ministry and homosexual. He's BFFs with Terry. Other than that, everything is open to recreating. Terry & Michael would really appreciate having their BFF back in the game! (Stephen Cornfoot would as well, as soon as the Muggle is back from hiatus.)
George Weasley: George has been through two Muggles and PBs in the short time the game has been open, and would really appreciate a permanent home. His characterization is pretty standard George, and his BFF Lee would enjoy seeing him around again. The PB is open for changing of course, and we'd enjoy seeing someone's new portrayal of him.
There are of course characters available who've never been played, and we'd enjoy in general more older characters (above the trio's year), more Slytherins and definitely more Hufflepuffs. We have more boys than girls, and more gay/bi characters than straight, though we don't have any caps on gender or sexuality so don't let that stop you or anything. Quidditch players, society types, Healers and Ministry employees always welcome.
