I've offered myself up twice for this little shindig! It'll be my first time out writing in the American Idol RPS fandom. I'm offering up 2 different auctions:
#1 A 2,000+ word fic to be completed within a month of the auction's end (so by mid-Octoberish)
#2 10 (100) word drabbles, also completed within a month of the auction's end. (Winning bidder can provide prompts)
There's a nifty FAQs section. Winning bidders will go here to make their bid. All donations go to public schools to help out with expenses/etc, and as the title says, Donors Choose where their money goes.
So! YAY CHARITY!! Even if you don't win an auction, think about bidding anyway because it's an incredibly worthy cause.

J2 Alaska!AU
May. 2nd, 2009 09:39 amSoooo! The Alaska fic is a go! A little different than I thought, more romance novelly and adventure-fic, but I think it's still going to be epic. I am determined to actually FINISH this fic, so to keep me going from time to time I will post updates here and stuff.
Tonight I amde a good start, knocked out 2,000 words or so, which is a pretty good start for me. Basically what you need to know is Jensen is a young photographer who takes an assignment chronicling a typical winter of a small Alaskan town, and Jaredis the Chief of Police owner of a flight company. I think. Not ENTIRELY sure yet, because Jared hasn't made an appearance yet. WE WILL SEE BBS!
So, here is a short snippet of how Jensen arrives in Lunacy, Alaska.

Seee, I have this vision in my head of AU!Jared&Jensen wherein Jared is this rugged mountain man type and makes a living guiding city boys and girls around Alaska/Australia/some other wild and remote setting; and Jensen is this rich, trust fund boy who rebels against his parents by making an actual living as a nature photographer (maybe working for National Geographic, or maybe it's more of a hobby IDEK OKAY?) only Jensen is actually useless in the outdoors except behind a Nikon 847 (yeah I totes made that up)and he needs Jared to like. Pertekt him from bears and his own case of too much curiosity and stuff, and I want to be like. Factual and shit. And Misha is totes going to be in it as Jared's co-pilot or something, and be all zen and awesome and stuff. Because he is MISHA! <3
ETA: And it may or may not take place in like, the 1960's or something. *headdesk*
