Author's Note: This was writting for the 2008 Best Mates Christmas Exchange (bestmates_xmas) for the lovely midnightblue88. Thanks to Steph, Mal, Titti and Jenn for looking it over and kicking my ass to get it done on time (nearly).

This fic takes place in both 1998/1999 and around 2013-2015 (don't worry, I ignored the epilogue completely!). The main action is in the future, after Ron & Harry have given up being Aurors and settled at Hogwarts as professors (Harry in DADA, Ron as the flying instructor/Quidditch coach/evasive maneuvers for upper years thinking of Auror training). The 1998/1999 action takes place as flashbacks. There's also a fantasy in here that is time unspecific. Hopefully it's not too confusing
