hahahaha yes. It was part of a sociological experiment in college, and I nearly got knocked out a couple of times. It was very uncomfortable for me, and I'm sure I looked like a frackin' idiot or something, but I got an A on my paper, so I guess it was worth it? I've never been spontaneously hugged though, which I think is a good thing because I don't really like being touched by people I don't know and have no control over. It freaks me out badly to think about it. It was hard enough doing it to other people, I seriously think I'd go into a fugue state if it happened to me, lol.

So, flist, has this ever happened to you?

No, I have enough trouble hugging the people I do know. At least for the first time. It's not that I don't enjoy it, I'm just always worrying that the other person will think I'm taking liberties.

I live in TX. Where the woman who stood next to you in the grocery checkout line will hug you the next time she sees you.
