NEW SHOW!

OMG! A new show premiered tonight and IT HAS FRED SAVAGE! The man of my dreams when I was 11! EEEK! And...he's GAY! (In the show that is.) But it seems to be more about screwed up, crazy mom! It's called CRUMBS and it's on ABC. Go. Watch. Sigh.

Family is enough to drive anyone a little crazy. Children keep secrets from their parents so they won't upset them, dads leave for other women, and moms try to run over dads with the car. Actually, that was the point when the Crumb family knew that Mom was crazy.

Estranged brothers Mitch and Jody Crumb reunite in their small hometown to deal with their mother, Suzanne, who is being discharged from a psychiatric facility and has yet to discover that her ex-husband is about to have a baby with his new girlfriend. They have issues... major issues.

Central to everything is the dynamic between these two brothers: Mitch is the prodigal son, who is returning home after a failed Hollywood career, while Jody is the older brother who has stayed in the confines of their small New England town to run the family business. Together for the first time as adults, this family will have to stick by one another despite their combustible relationships.

The creator of Caroline in the City mines his own family for comic gold that's smart, funny and surprising in this series, which stars Fred Savage (The Wonder Years) as Mitch Crumb, Jane Curtin (two-time Emmy Award winner for Kate & Allie, SNL, 3rd Rock from the Sun) as Suzanne Crumb, William Devane (Knot's Landing, 24) as Billy Crumb, Eddie McClintock (The Sweetest Thing) as Jody Crumb, Maggie Lawson (Pleasantville) as Andrea Malone and Reginald Ballard as Elvis. From the producers of Smallville and One Tree Hill, this offbeat comedy is something everyone can relate to.

Executive producer/creator is Marco Pennette (I'm with Her, Caroline in the City). Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola (Smallville, One Tree Hill) are executive producers. From Touchstone Television in association with Tollin/Robbins Productions.

*squee!* I love Fred Savage! I heard about the show, but I didn't know his character was gay!

Hell, I may have to check it out.

It was kinda funny. Ole Freddy is a screenwriter with one hit movie in his past and nothing since. He's in the closet from his family. His younger brother is a man-slut and likes to have sex with women in the kitchen of the family resturaunt. Daddio had an affair with a younger women and now she's pregnany. Mommy dearest tried to run Daddio over with a car and spent 3 months in a mental ward where she had an affair with her strapping black orderly. Now, if this doesn't SCREAM out fanfiction, I don't know what does!
